Dried Beef Dip

Holiday favourite. A great appetizer to keep peoples appetite in check before a big meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • 2 tsp finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt or garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 small jar dried beef finely chopped or 1/2 a large jar
  • 1/2 cup pecans finely chopped
  • 1 box crackers personal preference

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 350F.
  • Mix all ingredients except for nuts and put in a baking dish.
  • Sautee pecans in butter.
  • Top mixture with sauteed nuts.
  • Bake in 350F oven until bubbly (15-20 mins)
  • Serve with crackers of your choice

Notes

  • Try serving with a mixture of different crackers.
  • The jar of dried beef dip is difficult to find in Canada. Getting it on visits to the U.S. is usually best.
  • Hormel or Armour are brands that I have used.
